Got a chance to fish with my dad on Friday last week after our Canyon Trip got blown out. Took our boat and fished around the BI jetties, and up along the beach of IBSP. We fished just offshore the beach with the WSW wind it would drift us out along the beach - we were marking all kinds of fish and we ended up catching a real smorgasbord of finned creatures. Several snapper blues, several small weakfish, croaker, a ling, a shorty fluke, a 3 lb seabass. We were drifting killies and gulp eels hoping to snag a striper. I also had some eels that had gotten into the killie trap and gorged themselves - the weakies loved those!!!
It was a gorgeous day and sure glad to have the chance to fish with my dad (87 years old).
