10-12-10 Bass/Weakies report with pics
« on: October 13, 2010, 09:42:56 AM »
Slid out for an afternoon shot at the bass with Dougie, Kirk and Bob. Just north of SR inlet the birds were working and we stopped and bailed spike weakies - everytime down a fish or a missed fish. Moved north and could not get away from the weakies with some blues mixed in. At one point the weakfish were 40 feet thick in 60 feet of water. Managed to snag a few big live bunker. Trolled and jigged on working birds with nothing to show for it. Got called in by Captain Morgan and started livelining the few bunker and small blues we had in the well. Had a couple of run offs and big blues before catching a nice bass which unfortunately swallowed the hook and was not able to be revived. Beautiful afternoon on the water. God Bless America!!

Good job Chris. Them weakies have been there for two weeks now. Top to bottom on the machine at time. Hopefully they are allowed to grow up and be nice tide runners in the future.  t^
