Headed out for another mixed bag trip... Tiny Tim, Tom, Pat and Pat Jr, Tom and Andrew rounded out todays crew.
Started out trying to jig some bass... went back to where we had the bass life before the blow... greeted with tons of birds and plenty of bait but no bass for us. Looked around for a while but never really read them good... just a couple of blues for us.
Decided to go anchor on the porgy grounds and started picking away at some nice size porgies... took a little while to get them going and their was alot more small ones today... but plenty of action they would come on real good then back off a bit.
Set on 1 Drop the guys put 130 porgies in the cooler before lunch time!!!
Guys decided that was enough and we headed to a blackfish drop for the rest of the day... Decent tog life... Picked away at nice size roasters and shorts... Tim Hooked a real beaut at 8 1/2 lbs!!! Prob caught around 35 Blackfish with everyone Keeping 1 and throwing back a bunch of keepers n shorts. Patrick Jr def had the high hook and hot hand with the tog.
So by days end the guys boxed up 130 Keeper Porgies and a Blackfish limit to 8 1/2lbs.
