I met up with Jerry (MarshHawk) at 5:30 this morning to do one of our tin boat, back bay, artificials only trips. Tried several spots with only a couple of short stripers and an 18" (Yup, right on the mark
) fluke to show for our efforts.
Saw the fleet anchored up and clamming, and some others eeling or drifting spot. But didn't see a single fish landed or even a net go in the water.
Had a great day anyway chuckin' plugs and plastics down there with Jerry. We'll be back at it again next spring.
