Had Mark Friedmans charter aboard today for a day on the bottom grounds
Left the inlet to a Big heave... but it was lazy and spaced very far apart... water was dirty inshore but got cleaner as we got off the beach alittle.
Looked for birds bass n blues but didnt see any on our way to the grounds.
Got setup and had a pick at some seabass... then came some jumbo porgies. Bite was sluggish but Lots of shorts n Picked away keepers. Dogs were a pain at times
Wind came on hard and it got a little bouncy off the beach...
So after a while we tried where it was calmer... MISTAKE!!! made a drop looking for tog or seabass but we had no life... Looked for bass or blues on the ride home but we didnt see anything good.
So by days end the guys boxed up 100 keeper fish for the box a mix of Seabass n porgies... Not so bad coming off the hard blow n the heave esp since we only had a few lines in the water at times.
Crew was great... loads of laughs and chop bustin. the puller let his buddies know who filled the box
