Had Rogers charter aboard for a day of Jigging. Jason, Kevin, John, Gary and Frank rounded out todays crew.
Was Nice to be back out after passing on a few days due to weather...
Got off to a late 730 start...
Didnt matter much ran a few miles and had birds diving and great readings... Picked bass every drift and it didnt take long for the guys to box up a limit.
After the first drift the birds dispersed and the crowds but all ya had to do was stop on the readings and ya caught some every drift mixed with blues.
All fish were caught with avas.... No tail and retrieve worked better for us
Even with the late start by 915am we had a Limit of Stripers, along with some Blues and some short bass... Played around with the bass n blues for another hour or so and decided to head blackfishing to end the day.
First drop was ng but the next spot we got some good life going and picked at some nice size roaster and shorts with everyone keeping their a Nice One. Threw back a bunch more keepers and shorts for tues!!!
By days end the guys caught a couple dozen Stripers keeping a Limit, bunch of Blues, and a Limit of Blackfish to 6 1/2 Lbs
