Just saw this Frank. Frabill makes a net that is tangle free. Hook does not get caught in the net. Makes it great for the times you need to get the net quickly back into action for another fish.  t^

They are a bit more than the standard mesh nets and can be hard to find.

OK Joe  You know you are just setting yourself up but it would just be to easy to Break'em on ya :-* But I'm not going to do it. Lot of things to consider Yes #1 a net that doesn't tangle or tangles your hook to the point that you have to cut the hook out. #2 Net size the best thing about saltwater fishing is you never know what your going to bring up from the deep. Net size it might look big hanging in the store but when you bring that 50lb Striper or 10lb doormat to boat side the net shrinks in a hurry. Other considerations is storing the net on your boat and where your going to store it when your fishing. Collaspable nets are out there collapsable handles and extension handles. Does the net you bought float? Capt.Joe is right Frabill is the best name out there in nets. Its funny how you look at JUST A NET differently after you have owned a boat for a few years ;D

Frabill makes quality nets.  Some of the Ranger nets are very nice as well.

Thanks for responding! Look at this one on Frabill sight. The whole thing goes into the handle.

No.  It's not hard to get it back in.  It seems fairly strong as well.

Frank, I'm not sure what size we have that net in.  Pretty sure, the last time I checked, the ones we had were "freshwater" size.  If I remember tomorrow I'll see what we have and report back.

I have a rubber net. I use it for tog fishing. Great for not getting hooks/sinkers tangled in the net. Smallish sized bag depth so I don't use it for fluke or any fish that flops around in the net.
