2/27 cod Norma K3
« on: February 27, 2011, 07:31:30 PM »
Living at the Shore for nearly 30 years and made my first K3 trip. Back fishing party boats after a long time, fished for cod today with Capt. Matt. Heard yesterday was a slammer so got down early to get the stern corner. Fished with Canal Chris and Gerald.Today was a different story. We picked some on our first few drops but kept moving as the cod would stop hitting after the first 15 minutes or so. Mostly shorts with a few keepers mixed.Around noon it just died out completely and very few keepers were taken after this. So we tried moving and new snags many times ! Capt and crew did a great job and a very friendly group of fishermen fished hard at every drop but today it was not to be.Beautiful day on the water but just 1 keeper cod each for me and Chris and Gerald took the donut, oh well. We released about 6 shorts each and the pool fish was only 5-6 lbs. Next time, just too nice today  ;D

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
