Nah.  If they are fresh when you buy them, you can get them to last about a week or so.  Just make sure you leave them in the grass, change the newspaper in the box they come in and flip them over twice a day.

A couple of tips on sandworms. Use a cooler not the refridgerator. Reasons are many ::) but the best one is you only need them cool not cold. Take them out of the plastic bag or box they come in and get some newspaper. Any flat box will do. Like a shoe box is OK.Layer the box with several pages of the paper. The grass they sell the worms in is next ,then the worms.Any dead worms remove immediately. Keep the box closed. Change the paper if it gets wet from the worms. I use frozen half gallon plastic milk containers. Keep the ice on the bottom of the cooler. Don't let any water get on the worms. I use the plastic tray that many coolers come with. Have kept flats of worms this way and they'll stay good from weekend to weekend. 7-10 days.Flounder time is near  ;D Can't wait  ;D
