New Kid on the block....
« on: July 29, 2007, 07:06:08 PM »
Just moved down here from VT, temporary relocation, and was looking for some suggestions for surf fishing in NJ. I will be bringing down my Sea Nymph FM 161, which I have been using on Lake Champlain and Lake George, for some inshore fishing. I look forward to fishing the Jersey Coast and picking up some tips from the forums here.

Thanks,

Bob

Welcome MRVT!

Where in NJ are you being relocated to ...

We may even be able to get you out on a Member's boat to acclimate you to the area!

Thanks,

Capt. Ed

Welcome aboard, You started in the right place for information. Let us know what area your fishing. And beware I think someone on this board has shares in GULP, they like telling you they catch keepers with the stuff! ;D Just joking guys !

You bet ya... the stash i have of this stuff is unbelievable.  It's especially good to have if your just doing a nice joy ride and then decide last minute to see if there are any flat ones around.  You don't have to buy bait, this stuff is always in the box in case of such emergencies, always ready to go.. lol..  ;D

Welcome aboard.  If it's surf fishing you want, there are several people on here who go quite often.  I'm sure they will share spots and techniques with you.  I'd bet they would even meet you on the beach and give hands on instructions.  Just ask and you will be surprised at what these guys are willing to do for others.

Welcome Aboard Bob,

I have to tell you right off the reel this site is addicting.  So make sure you take the time to fish.

What area did you relocate to in NJ.  I fish Island Beach State Park nad live in Toms Rivermostly and would be glad to show you the ropes down here.  I have a beach buggie pass and getting onto the beach is a snap.  There are roughly 10 miles of fishing space.

If you are going to be up north Sandy Hook would be great and I am sure a number of guys could show you the area.  Between the two areas are some great spots as well but you have to know the area.

Fishing down south Jersey is great as well and again I am sure someone will jump in to help once we know your location.

Let us know and we will get you set up with someone.

Happy Catching

Paul
