Mon Eve. 4/25
« on: April 26, 2011, 11:27:26 AM »
Very nice weather at home, got some stuff done around the house, then ducked out to get some clams.

Secured the quahogs and shoved off around 4 as it got overcast and a little breezy. Setup in a spot, but with the E wind and outgoing tide the boat just wouldn't sit right. Boat was swinging N-S, current was running NE. Chummed off the port side with lines out the same way, not much happening. Decided to make a move to another spot, that's when the pea soup rolled in. Stuck it out for another 1/2hr with 20yd visibility then decided to head back. Slowly. Nothin going on. Good thing for electronics as the VFR navigation was near impossible in that stuff. Still relaxing for a few hours. Got back to the slip, gave the boat some extra cleaning, fixed the mate's seat, had a smoke, and home by 830PM.

Will try again Weds. Eve. hopefully

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
