Fishermen/Fishing report 5/3
« on: May 03, 2011, 04:16:35 PM »
The bite has certainly been tough since Saturday....had enough readings on the machine today where I thought for sure they would bite thier heads off.
Watched the trollers catch them steady and it seems the bunker guys who know what there doing are catching some fish also. Certainly hasn't been an all day bite on the clams, if your lucky enough to be in the right spot at the right part of the tide you can catch some fish.

Went through the same exact thing the past couple of season for about 5 days, before the males moved in and the bite was back on.
If I only carried 5 or 6 customers, I would have limited reports everyday like the rest, but that's not the case for us.
Reports have been posted just about everyday but with all the newcomers and such to the sight, the reports make the second page pretty quick and get lost.
We do report the good and the bad regardless of the outcome.
Better fishing ahead!:)

This south wind is making it tough. but it should be better later this week. We had a good shot early this morning that made our day but just a pick for the rest of the day.

Capt. Ron,

Once again, Thanks for "honest" reporting. When I do that, people blast me. Go figure. I can't live with myself if I don't call it the way it is.

t^ Certainly not due to lack of effort.  If the fish are around and biting, you guys get your fares on 'em.   slt

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
