Fish Stix Striper Report 4/30 & 5/1
« on: May 02, 2011, 09:05:35 AM »
Saturday we had the Pat Kenney charter from Pa come out to fish. It ended up more of a very long boat ride. We covered miles and miles of ocean reading tons of bait and few fish and they just would not bite. Trolling and jigging were not on the bass' menu Saturday. The guys at least drank some beers and had a great time.

Sunday we had an open boat trip with Big Joe, his little brother Nick(for his birthday) and Damian. We headed north at 6:30am and when I say north I mean it. Loads of readings up there early am. Once the fleet came it dispersed throughout. We managed to grab a few bass to 18lbs jigging and trolling. Again we covered miles and miles with marks out the wazoo! But the fish just wanted nothing. We had tons of fish on the surface and also following the crocs to the boat. Fish were caught on Jersey Jays 6oz croc and white shad umbrellas.

Great effort Capt Kris. Still a bit slow in our area but things will break open soon.  t^

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
