Navesink- Up near parkway
« on: April 26, 2011, 03:02:22 PM »
New to the board.  Was wondering how far up the Navesink stripers go during this time of yr.  Someone at the local bait shopes said they go all the way up underneath the bridge on the parkway by 109.  Should I bother or up my Mclees is about as far as they go?  Thankf ro the help.

Went up there last night.  Didn't catch anything but talked to a guy who pulled 2 keepers out a few days ago.  Might need a few more degrees for them to come up that far.

Nave, welcome aboard.

Stripers are everywhere as the spring run is in full effect. Guys are catching out front where the temps are cooler than the rivers. Keep doing your research and scouting...there are stripers in the navesink...trust me  t^

Well they sure are in the Navesink.  Caught a couple shorties last night.  Guy next to me caught a 33 incher.  Blood worms.

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
