Well today was yet another good day at the park. I was a bit leary as Fridays at the Park can be a bit nuts as many non anglers like to hit the beach and justr cruse even though it is not allowed. But thanks to the budged crunch and the lack of Park Police the groupies were there late in the day.
Now that I vented a bit, today was a good day fishing wise. we were able to catch a bass in the early AM and again put some nice blues into the box to take to friends.
We saw many bass in the keeper range so if you were planning on getting out like they say "JUST DO IT". The Spring run will not last long and time is running out. If you can get out during the week that is the banner time as the park is not loaded at all.
Most of the bass we saw were caught on clams and few on bunker. The blues were caught on white bucktails tipped pink Finn-S. Nice Taylor blues to about 3#. Not bad for filling the day of catching.
If you were thinking of going to the park on Sunday to fish forget it in the AM. There will be a bike race and the road will be closed to traffic so keep that in the back of your mind.
