Tuna Tales Thursday 05-12 Good Stripers and Blues
« on: May 12, 2011, 06:49:03 PM »
Fished this morning with my nephew Eddie and my father. Left SRI at 5:50 am. Tried jigging right outside the inlet on the birds - all bluefish.

Ran north...trolled one bass. Ran back south and worked readings and birds for two more bass to 38" and lots of bluefish to 10 lbs. Also lost one nice striper on a Polish shad at the boat.

All bass caught trolling green spoons. The blues were caught on spoons, Polish shads, Krocs and poppers.

Fished only to 11:00 am

Nice ocean, weather and fishing. Blackened striped bass with a Corona Light tonight!

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
