did some flukin today, still not pleased..
« on: May 13, 2011, 08:03:27 PM »
whats up guys? tried my luck today with some fluke on the sea tiger out of the highlands. about 20 keepers brought up, unfortunately i did not see one of them!pool winner looked to be about 6 lbs, nice fish. we drifted for a couple hours right off the coast guard station on sandy hook, then headed out towards the point more. seems like everyone did a lot better by the coast guard station though. i jigged a dual set up buck tail all day, gulp on the bottom bait on the top, had ALOT of action just couldnt get hooked up. i think ill stick with surf casting for stripers!

Don't give up on the fluke, it is still way early in the season. The CG station is usually a good spot for the new season.

alot of people were using a plain fluke rig, with a buck tail for a weight.
