Out for an afternoon shot with a shorthanded crew. With reports of scarce bunker I brought the wire along anticipating having to troll. Headed north and came across some fish busting up on top - threw a storm shad on a little St. Croix spinning rod and a little while later landed a fat 46" bass (22" waist) which we photographed and released. Moved around a little and put out 2 spoons and a deep plug. Caught 5 more bass and then headed for the barn - kept one 30" fish for the grill and let the rest go. Tony Maja #3 bunker spoons out fished the other spoons and the plug 5 to zero. God Bless Our Troops!!!!
