If you can't find them go to Penn Reels.com
you can mail it to them and they will recondition it like new. Just print out form
for repair I had 2 done this year cost about
35 dollars a reel. Good Luck

Hi Tomc76,

I don't know about in Sayreville but I can get all you want in Toms River and send them to you. I have a few sets in my work shed as well. I love those reels!

Easy to change in a few minutes ...

Ed, I love 'em also. I Have 2. I'll be more than happy to pay ya, just let me know how. My drag is shot on my favorite one.

Luna, I dont really need the reel reconditioned, or refurbished, its in good order, I just wanna change the drag.

Hi Tomc76,

How many sets and PM me with where to send them.

FYI, Fisherman's Den down in LBI; Grumpy's in Seaside Park; Pell's in Brick; Brielle Bait and Tackle in Brielle; the Real Seat in Brielle; and Reel Life in Pt. Pleasant Boro basically have them over the counter in the Toms River Area.

I may have missed a few places ... sorry ... post the others.

Thanks,

Ed

Hi Tomc76,

I have a set of "Smoooooth Drag" for the Penn 500 in the envelop. I changed over to them instead of the HT100 because they have a better drag curve; more drag; and less star turn-in.

No grease or oil is required.

If you don't like them, I'll send the Penn HT100s. I like the "Smooooothies" and with braid, the reel can use the extra drag.

BTW, the kit has all 4 fiber washers. The installation instructions are on their website at:

http://www.smoothdrag.com/installation.html

There is no charge as I probably got these to demo at first anyway and now use them a lot.

Where should I send them?

Thanks,

Capt. Ed
