Beautiful weather, awful fishing

Went out to my spot around the hook and anchored up near the Fisherman.  Heavy chumming but no takers at all.  Eventually nabbed a double header of skates.  If you like skates, I'm your captain! 

Came inside on the bay side eventually after a couple moves and drifted Sandy Hook bay for Fluke.  Lots of tiny guys but nothing even close to keeper.  Moved to 11a and my depthfinder lit up with fish.  Dropped clams and chummed-nothing.  Switched to Bunker-nothing.  Threw Bombers, spoons, soft baits-nothing.  Threy out the troll-N O T H I N G nothing!!

Oh well, it was beautiful and my first mate got her tan hahah.

Given my horrible spring thus far, I might take up Bucktail Bob's approach and start bringing bushels of bananas out with me.

Same thing awesome weather, poor fishing for Stripers on clams.
