Today I ran a morning bluefish trip. What a difference a day can make. Plan was to go back to the seen of the crime of yesterdays great fishing, load up and get back in before the wind really came on. Great plan but slow fishing. A slow bite grinded down to no bite. Checked out a few other areas with the same results. Lots and lots of cast produced 9 fish boat side and raised about 2 dozen short strikes. Conditions were not that bad on the flats the only problem was a lack of hungry fish
. Headed back in at 9am just as the wind really got cranking.
On a side note it seems the south wind pushed the water temps back down a few more degrees out on the ocean wreck. Down side is another week of slow seabassing, upside is .........Great seabassing in July
