Capt. Paul had the Bob Kruise charter on board Bounty Hunter today. We found the Bunker south of the Inlet and made bait for an hour. A call that there was a Troll bite going on down south caught Paul's attention but another call that a good bait bite was going on up north forced us to make a decision. Paul elected to go north but once we arrived there were over 50 boats working in a small area trying to catch a Bass. Paul decide to bail out and run all the way back to the south. It proved to be a smart move as when we got to Lavallette the Bass were exploding and crashing the Bunker on top and there were only a couple of boats in on the bite. We got into the action and had Bass on continously. We boxed 6 Bass the largest at 46" which weighed in at 43 Lbs. The crew missed over a dozen more in the frenzy. The Bass exploded on the Bunker a few miles to the north and after a short ride we were back in the zone again. The crew boxed another 5 big Bass while missing another 8. At days end we had gone 11 for 30 and had a 5 Man limit catch of 10 Bass plus 1 Bonus fish. For the guy's it was a day to remember.
