Had Steve aka Socks Charter charter aboard along with a fun crew!
Plan was to make bait check the am bite with the bass... mix it up with seabass and hope they striper come out to play in the afternoon.
Made bait but no bass in the am...
Headin off seabassin and had a good bite but mostly only the little ones were hungry... Just a few keepers of each spot... had to make a lot of moves and drifts to put some in the box... keepers were good size but not enough!
Headed to a few deeper spots in 80 ft and could barley lose a bait. despite reading good life on the pieces.
Headed back inshore hoping the bass would blow up... but it never happened for us or anyone i talked with.
Made a drift in the deep and had some action with blues which have apparently shown up inshore.
Put in overtime hoping the bass would show up... but they never did.
Every day cant be Christmas!!! tough one today!!! Good with the bad!
They guys fished hard and we boxed up 53 Seabass to 2 1/2 Lbs and a few blues!
Steve also had a beautiful sea robin
Crew was great despite the tough fishing!
