6/7 ridiculous Bluefish bite in the bay

Set out with my 1st mate to get some evening Fluke.  Took a couple drifts at 11a with nothing to show for it, so I started to head east.  On my way to Sandy hook bay saw a massive swarm of birds just north of the Earl working their way west back towards Keansburg.  Figured I'd throw some metals at the blues since my lady has never actually seen working birds and the mayhem that ensues.  It was cast and catch for both of us, with a couple moves to follow the bait.  We probably boated 25+ blues up to 10 pounds between us in a matter of 40 minutes, keeping 3 cocktails for the grill and the rest went back for another day.  Wasn't what we set out for, but loads of fun for a Tuesday evening none the less.  They were spitting up tons of spearing, hell there was so much of it on my deck I practically needed a shovel to clean it out.
