Today I had Hal and his son Dan out for a father and son wreck trip. We went looking for big seabass and plenty of them. We were greeted at the inlet with a good size swell but not much wind. A short pass at a near shore piece showed a screaming north current and thats not a good thing in this area. A drive by on a lobster pot showed the same thing a few more miles out. We changed areas and found what they came for. Less current and big hungry knuckleheads. Real nice quality today with most fish over 14" and a great short to keeper ratio. Top fish was a sweet 3.75lber. The guys boxed 30 pretty quick and the seas laid down nice so we went to check out a different area. Some pieces showed promise and some did not hold much. The anglers grabbed the rest of their limit with more of the same quality fish and added a couple of ling. One last drop got me a nice bucket of humpys for tomorrow nights family fish fry. Plenty of sharks and a few whales made a very good day even better.
