Couldn't ask for a better crew. Capt Don Jr and Paul (beginner's luck, rriiggght
) were at it again with some quality keepers in the deeper haunts. Pushed off for a late afternoon excursion and had plenty of fresh bait thanks to the net man. Paul, you've perfected it to art form status! What can I say other than, an unbelievable donut. One and done
Checked a couple local drifts to see what was doing and the first fish in is a keep just shy of 19. Poked and picked for another hour and then made the necessary move. Worked a little tight chop heading south then setup on repeatable drifts and we had multiple fish on every drop. Don and I made our contribution to the collection plate but hands down Paul was making the big deposits. Nice fish 4-5 lbs and the ringer at 8.5# by Paul. Just at sunset, we reeled 'em up as they continued to chew and headed back to the barn for cleanup. Hit the bonus back at port with Capt John of Reel Tight hooking us up with some fresh Bluefin steaks... Much appreciated brother
Another excellent day on the water.
Till next time
