Did the deep water Cod and Ling trip again this past Wed. on a NS PB out of Brielle again to take advantage of the great weather we have been having.
It was another beautiful flat day and could have used a little more wind just to cool off as the sun was cooking.
Current was running nasty which caused more tangled lines all day than the last trip.
I ended up with 11 fat ling in the box, some throw back short cod, and some nasty pouts that I would curse at for making me crank his ugly ass all the way up for nothing.
The regular guys that do this trip every week ended up with numbers in the low 20s with a few keeper cods around the boat.
Nice day, long boat ride, and some tasty fillets.
