Hi All,
new member here..and I have to repeat what everybody else has said.....what a great resource has been put together here!!....A little about me,originally I am from Long Island N.Y. and grew up fishing the south shore, east end and Montauk.I Now I live down the shore I love all types of fishing, from surf to kayak, freshwater to saltwater fly,but mostly I fish from that giant hole in the water that I throw all my money into...my boat.

Hello and welcome from a fellow new member.  I also grew up fishing New York waters, Long Island sound and the South Shore.  I fished by boat out of Shinnecock bay in the 80s before moving to NJ shore in 1991.  I now fish by boat out of the Naversink River.

Hello my name is Offshore Madness im new here! First let me tell u a little about myself,I used to be a professional and certified marine mechanic for over 15 years.I started out as a gas boy a clarks landing and from day one i was determined to become one of the best marine mech. out there.I have worked for many full service marinas to mobile repairs. Most have sent me to schools for Mercury/mercruiser,omc,Johnson/Evinrude and Yamaha to get some stupid paper saying I can read their books and pass their tests! However,I found it more rewarding getting my hands dirty and Acutally DOING the jobs then reading....I did however pass All the tests!!!My experiance ranges from restoring older boats to run offshore,to being top engineer on the New York Fast Ferrys Vessels the Bravest and the Finest which has. Twin 4 turbochargers v 12 diesels.I no longer work as a marine mech,I now own part of a recycling and demo company.Im a OFFSHORE maniac cause as we all know BIGGER FISH swim in the OCEAN and i go every chance i get.I live 15 minutes from sandy hook new jersey so all my fishing is in the ocean. We have a 17 foot proline center console with a 115 mercury outboard pushing "Ever Enough" thro the tough stuff the jersey shore can throw at ya. grtn
Why does it Matter to you? cause I could careless.........
