Capt. Ron/Fishermen report 7/13/11
« on: July 13, 2011, 06:42:40 PM »
Today was the worst fluke fishing day of the season!
Had a great drift, covered lots of ground and only managed a pick on shorts and keepers. Fished the channels...too fast with the wind and tide together, fished the flats, not much life to be found. Fished the Knoll, the reach, chappel hill channel and back in the bay.
When we thought we might get a bite like yesterday in the channel on the change of tide...a ship appeared like a demon with a smile, killing all hope of bailing out the day!! Not a happy Captain too say the least.
Will give it hell tomorrow.
