Pop's Soul 7-16-11
« on: July 16, 2011, 07:01:35 PM »
Left Shark River at 10:30 after watching the marine helicopter land off of Route 71 near the marina. Found out later after a fly-by of 2 F-15's that they were having some sort of exibition in Avon-by-the-sea. Headed north off of Asbury Park in 50 feet of water, lots of shorts, lost the drift and started the search for a bite.  Moved in, up and picked up junk fish.  Moved south a mile and a half outside of Shark River inlet, the breeze picked up and we started catching again.  Boated two keepers, ended the day fishing with the sea anchor out and fishing with 8 ounces of lead.....Will be back out tomorrow TT^

I saw the two jets fly by. There were also canapys set up at the CG station. Was wondering what was going on. Thanks for the info  t^

The catching did pick up in the afternoon when the wind came back. See you on the water tomorrow.  t^
