Had William Jones and Family out for Fluke and Sea Bass trip. The morning started out very slow for us with nothing but a few shorts and empty hooks to show for our efforts.
By mid morning decided to make a move to a wreck in 130 feet looking for ling and cod. Made one drift over it and thought it was going to be really good as we instantly hooked up with a Cod. Threw the hook and a slow pick of Cod and Ling with some 3# Winter Flounders (released) mixed in. We had some chicken Mahi also picking at our clam remnants and we came tight on one feeding out a piece of clam but the fish pulled the hook about 10 feet away from the boat. The guys caught 14 cod keeping 6 with a 12 pounder (on the Boga 30) being the big fish for the day. 6 ling rounded out the catch.
Everything was caught on some new rigs we had Richie tropics tie for us.
The Black Flies were worse today than yesterday. Tough day for us but the guys went home with some nice white meat for dinner.
