BOUNTY HUNTER - Another Great Open Boat Bluefin Day, 8/3

Today was Open Boat day for Bluefin Tuna. On board were Bounty Hunter regulars John, Mark & Mike. along with newcomer Ken. We also had Dennis Williams and his son George both of which traveled 12 hours from their home in Kentucky to get in on some good NJ Bluefin action with Capt. Paul. We left at 3AM and were one of the first boats on the Bluefin grounds. Right after sunrise we landed our 46" Under fish on a Pink Spanko Jig. All the guy's enjoyed a nice steady bite throughout the morning as they went 15 for 24 on Bluefin. We had 4 Overs and 11 Unders. Our 48" Over fish was boated around Noon and was also taken on a Spanko Jig. The Spankos accounted for 11 of the 15 Tuna landed with Hammered Chrome Diamond Jigs accounting for the other 4. Mike had the hot hand landing 5 Tuna followed by Mark who had 4 on his new Black Hole Rod equipped with a Stella Reel. Great Crew, Great day on the Bounty Hunter.
