Point Pleasant Inlet "Lots of Fluke"
« on: August 26, 2011, 06:23:13 AM »
I'm on leave from the Pentagon this week and decided to take my son (12 yo) saltwater fishing.  Last year we went on the Charter boats and got nothing but sick.  This year we stuck with the inlet.  Two $35 Rod/Reels, some sinkers, hooks and a bag of bait produced...

25 Fluke (two keepers), 3 blackbass and 2 bluefish.  All within 3 hours.

Not bad for his first day ever fishing for fluke.

the fluke are starting to move out of the back bays making their way to the near shore lumps as they stage their migrations...

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
