If you are evacuating because of a flood wouldn't it be a good thing to have the boat with you? Bet they didn't think of that!

IMO, it sounds like they are trying to keep the roads as clear as possible during an evacuation.  Emergency evacuations are called for to save lives first, not property.  One broken down trailer or boat falling off a trailer and clogging up the road could turn into a nightmare for those trying to flee a disaster area.

Here's my opinion, disagree if ya want. This law is a bunch of C%$p.
An attorney and politician and I believe ex-mayor of Little Egg was one of the sponsors of this bill.
Just maybe that boat [ cuddy or cabin boat ] or camper might be all the fleeing evacuees have  to sleep in, and throw all their valubles or belongings into it
Just picture how many floating boats, maybe some with trailers attached come crashing through or into whatever they hit
How about the damage to the boat, ect, itself. Let's let the Insurance companies pay for it, and Raise our rates.
How about added lost revenue for the marine businesses? Boat hauling, trailer service ect.
I can go on and on
Anyone else want to add? I'm fumin over this one.
