Barnegat Bay 9-3-11
« on: September 03, 2011, 09:32:41 PM »
With the Mantoloking Bridge unfishable I had to find another spot and I did. A little park about 2 miles south of the bridge on 35. Spent about 2.5 hours here using clams on a high/low rig on the bottom. Caught about 15 fish. It was about a 1:1 snapper bluefish to blowfish ratio. Also a lot of crabs like always. Nothing too big but still fun.

Good stuff Art!  Snappers were thick inside the Barnegat Inlet today.  Looks like yours had a nicer size to them.   t^

Did you ever find out what the closure at the bridge is all about?

Yeah, I looked more closely at the signs and they said it was under construction to build the new park.
