Inshore Barnegat Reef/then BInlet today
« on: September 10, 2011, 05:19:56 PM »
Broke the inlet at 7am and headed to the barnegat reef with my son this morning.  Fair amount of felow boats there, but didnt look like anyone was very successful today.  Ocean was nice too.  Couldn't even get a garbage fish of any kind.  Had the same bait n for first half hour.  Nothing, NADA.

Headed abck in and drifted the inlet for a few hours and had some non stop sea bass action.  Used blood worms and had hit afetr hit, but l were around 8 inches or smaller.  Finally son caught a 13 incher.  I had a few 5 inch or so fluke.

We were laoded with a variety of bait and we threw everything out there today and all we ahd to show was one so so sea bass.  But a day on the water with my son was the real bonus!!!
Early to bed…early to rise…fish all day…make up lies.

To fish is human,

to throw back is divine.

Thanks for the report. At least you got to fish with your son, and he's got bragging rights to the only keeper. <'((((><
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><
