Pops Soul 9/10
« on: September 10, 2011, 06:45:06 PM »
We gave it a shot today headed out the inlet and ocean conditions looked fishable with a NE breeze, Water color was mud brown, and a very strong current. I could not hold bottom with 10 oz plus the parachute out that was 50 ft of water :P Moved into Spring lake 30ft of water Not even a nibble from a searobin and still fishing with the 10 oz. Heard of more keeper fluke being caught in the river all on peanuts. ALso chatted with a charter capt buddy who was off shore looking for the Bluefins and said he only scored 1 bluefish. Hopefully things will settle down and we can put a hurtin on the flatfish next weekend t^

Good try Skip. Hard to catch in this off color water and quick drift.  :P
