Shark river Reef 9/13
« on: September 13, 2011, 06:33:17 PM »
Headed out this morning to see what is happening out on the deep water reef. Calm, flat conditions made for a fast run out there. I marked Cod on the USS Algol, as well as The Mako Mania Wreck, but I could not get them to chew. nosmly They were there, it was just not in my cards. Caught plenty of out of season Seabass, along with Bergals, that was it. Fished some rock piles, same thing, but I was not marking Cod on them.  3 head boats along with about 8 other private boats were also  fishing the area, I did see a few big fish come over the rail of one of the head boats.  clp  Maybe next time. <'((((><
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><

Yep, seen that boat out there. Some marks probably were Pollock, the Cod marks were like a stack of wood. I tried both baits and jigs. Not my day.
