My Striper Poem!
« on: September 18, 2011, 01:26:58 PM »
While fishing yesterday Put this together, wrote it down last night. Hope you enjoy!

The Skies are clear and the air is crisp, soft white clouds disappear in a wisp.

The Ocean Chills and the Nor East Hawks, we are fishing Romer to put fish in the box.

Sharp Breakers smash and the bottom gets churned, the air is filled with Gulls and Terns.

Clams get smacked and a line goes tight,Mr. Bass runs and we are in for a fight.

The tide runs hard giving him strength, we get him within the leaders length.

Our net dips fast and the scoup is good, Mr. Bass is on the deck flopping on the wood.

Angler and crew admire the Fish, Mr Bass is set free to complete his wish.

Its not the taking thats makes the day, but instead the experience in a large way.

Good buddies and nature are what its about, it makes you smile and makes you shout.

Pretty damn good!
The cure for everything is salt water: sweat, tears, and the sea.

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
