« on: August 09, 2007, 07:13:51 PM »
launched boat 6:30 Sayerville ramp, started fishing 46 and 47 buoy Reach channel, picked a few shorts, plan was to stop here and move farther up the Reach channel, which we did, moved all the way to the 8 buoy, fishing partner Dave landed a keeper just making it at 17 inches, then I landed a nice fat 23 incher, which took a 3 inch white minnow gulp bait with a strip of squid with green grass skirt and spinner, same rig caught 24 incher Sunday.picked away at a lot of birds ,dogfish and shorts.got away from the fleet and moved to the east side of the ammo pier in low water 11 to 12 feet, nothing, not even a bird.moved to in front of pier in deep water and Dave picked a 19 incher, stayed here and picked away at shorts, dogfish and birds.12:30 made move to back bay, wind kicking up and white caps.stopped in deep water in front of Raritan bay lighthouse. we each picked a few shorts and birds, then I caught a 19 incher,1:45 headed for home, nice day on the water, all keepers caught in deep water.
