Same deal as yesterday. Out on the tip of a rockpile by sunup in search of striped fish. This time, the wind was cranking outta the SSW. Water was much more rough, but as soon as that sun started to brighten the night, it was game on for the crew of 5 we rustled together, including NJSWF's own Fireman Ed. Cast and crank bluefishing for a good 3 hours for us all with a few shad mixed in. Today we had a few doubleheaders on teaser-plug combos. Would have stayed longer, but a rogue wave took my feet out from under me, and tossed me onto a different rock whle submerging me in it's swell. Lucky for me it slid me into a rock feet first where it held me until it dispersed. Did a number on my back in the process. Sometimes Korkers don't matter. Knee high water has a lot of power. It was a good thing I got hit, because 5 minutes after we walked off, I noticed a huge roller suck up the tip, which most likely would have taken a few of us out.
Again, no bass, but some fun action on some feisty blues. The water seems to need a good cooling to turn on this run, I think. Felt pretty warm while laying there.
