After hours of thinkin
if we wanted to go "porgie" fishin
. Said screw Lets go
. Got prefabed rigs,2 boxesoworms and headed out(12ish) without a clue(even tho i did look at a few web sites on porgies (living)structure's...
Ran toward the tip o the hook. Found a super "lookin" piece o real a state
Throw out me anchor and settled down on some nice swells and wakes..Well it was a fast pace of fishin not catchin (yet) lots of throw backs lots of striped sea bass (i think) to small if they were any way..
from there we ran towards the swash chl./romer and found a better piece,to bad the anchor didnt hold and to many boats/swells/wakes/-------- to play around any way, cruzed towards the uscg station. and saw a few boats hooked to the sea floor....
after 10 minutes of cruzin to look 4 our "own" spot we threws the hook..
Fishes on
...had a flurry of weaks{all 12 in},striped cbs, robins, blackfish and as many keeper porgies you can get plus the shorts. We were amazed at the furry these "fish" bit{Remember first ever pogie trip}. After keeping 19 porgies we pulled hook and tried to drift a worm or 2 at the rip..Well It was 6-8 foot rollers with a crappy wind mixed in
we took a few over the ass end..
With that and lookin at the sky above (lightn) we ran 2 port...Well our first porgie trip was SWEEEEEET
, altho when we got to the hood and lookd up how to clean them.....well that turnd me OFF but did it any way....
To those that dont know(porgie fishn), we tried it, Loved the action, HATE the cleaning part, great thing Michy is all hands on!
will cook them tomarrow and sea for the first time if their crap or were goin again tuesday
