Headed out late this morning with a couple of clam chum logs that have been in my freezer for 2 years and some clams I salted away in the spring. Anchored off the coast guard station and picked away at porgies for a few hours. Final totals 46 porgies most were 9" or shorter but did land 8 jumbos, 3 large kingfish, 4 large snappers, a 14" fluke, 10 small sea robins and a smooth dogfish. All were released unharmed. It was great to get out after 3 weeks and catch some fish! But after reading Capt. Ron's report I am kicking myself for not picking up some fresh clams and going outside
