Had Mike Malloy and company out today for some Stripers....got a late start...and it would cost us today.....Got on the spot at 7:30 and started crackin heavy for the last hour of the outgoing....had 2 runoffs right away...birds all over to our starboard side....just out of reach for the jigs tho.....came tight on a couple of keepers....then 5 shorts after that....waited out an extremely long tide change,then had another flurry of just short fish....until the tide started screaming and the wind came up strong against the tide.....decided to make a move for some porgys....swinging on anchor....plotter looked likea big etch-a-sketch.....had some good action on porgies,seabass,blowfish and rudderfish to keep the guys busy. Wind was blowin 25 by the time we left....water temp 68 degrees today. Gave it hell !!!
Running open this Sat and Sunday 8th & 9th stripers and bottom fishing.
