It doesn't get much better than this!  Blue bird day 80 degree in October.  Who woulda thunk?  Donnie sat tight in the McD lot twiddling his thumbs 45 minutes earlier than our agreed upon meet time.  Sometimes we can't shake the kid out of us.  We transfered gear and took that familiar ride down the parkway/36 jawboning the whole way.  We had the arsenal ready.  Fresh Belford beauties in tow.  We made a stop at Cancun Pete's sweet new shop on rt 36 to pick up crabs.   Pete hooked us up with the small asians that completed the menu for today's offerings.....

Capt Don Sr. had other business to attend to but hooked me up with a replacement clam cracker  ;D thanks big D.  Wish you were on board but you brother Charley filled your shoes pretty darn good.  At times, I wasn't sure if it was you or him talking. Next time you both have got to be out so I can keep it straight.  We loaded up and made our first stop at the shoal to see if we could generate some interest of the stripes for about an hour.   Nothing to report other than a handful of skates and a doggie.  Pulled the hook and headed to the reef for a repeat performance of last weekends trip.  We got tight on a piece and put a bunch of nice CB's over the rail to be retuned.  Damn this is killin me/us!  Uncle Charley started pounding on platter size pork chops  having a blast.  A couple of short tog were picked away at.   Not feeling the love here, we made move to area we spied on last year when the debris boats were dumping Jersey Barriers.  We found the honey hole and it produced with mad abandon.  First drop. BANG.  Donnie puts our first Tog into the coffin.  Had to make room around the dozen porgies.  It became an asian assault feast from here on out. Tog, Tog, and more tog and throw in a bunch of CBass for good measure.   Change in the tide, swing slightly over the debris and lights out.  Charley had a little jingle going as he bounced a 6 oz on the crabs "no cracky, no smelly, no fishy"  We cleaned out the crabs, went through almost a 1/2 bushel of clams.  Great day! Great company! And great fishin!

Finished the day with 12 keeper porgies, boatload of CB's with an easy 15 that would have kept.  35 Tog largest 5.5lb.  Kept our WHHOOO HOOO 3!!!

Till next time t^

Holy Moly!!!!!!!!!

You mean Donnie Jr. REALLY does catch fish? I was thinking that was just a typical fishermans B/S I was getting everytime I go for a sub.
