While launching "EverEnough" a seagul walked over to me and started talking to me for a minute or two he just talked 5 feet from me lookin right at me then turned around and shitted, then walked away. 2 good luck signs (if u believe) i bought some clams and worms for the day, Michy dug her own worms in our yard she also brought slugs.
Rounded the hook and saw some clammers said screw it made a few drifts behind them with the clam. One nice hit/runoff but spit the hook before i saw what it was.
After 30 minutes we moved to fish for porgies.Traveled to the area of the #8 and found some nice land. Dropped the hook and then....Fishs on as fast as we could get the bait to them we had doubles all day long porgies,robins,blackfish,striped c/b,and 2 lizardfish.
I started with two rods, id bait the first two hooks drop it down, while baiting the other hooks, already had a double on the other pole in the holder!!!! This was catchin at its finest!!!!!!
the porgies were HUNGRY they even swallowed the hook twice(those to fish were dead so i feed them to the seagulls..
We ran out of worms and used clam(works wayyyyy better) Believe it or not the SLUGS WORKED when Michy put them on
She out fished me and the slugs stayed on the hook!! while i rebaited every other fish Michy kept catching...It was crazy but glad she caught more then me......
we threw about 100-150 back kept 29 porgies and 4 searobins
