Raritan Bay Report 10/06/11
« on: October 07, 2011, 07:29:41 AM »
Met at the boat 3:00 pm with Mike F. and Jersey Joe. We were going to hit it hard, for bait we picked up fresh bunker /  live eels  /  fresh clams.  Sandwiches and beverages were also picked up for the crew. Checked the boat out before start up, everything looks good. Started the boat, went to throttle up for warm-up and POP the throttle assembly is shot. No forward/reverse or throttle. Pulled throttle assembly off of helm to inspect, could not remove screws from back plate so i said F*** IT.  It was time for a new one anyway !!!!!!

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

Damn I went out as well, was wondering if I'd run into you out there.  I had the skunkies on clams and then plugs after dark.  Be back at it on Sunday I hope.  I'll be around in the AM on Sunday, so if you need a hand with anything let me know.  Be glad to help.

The cure for everything is salt water: sweat, tears, and the sea.
