Monday 10/24 evening
« on: October 24, 2011, 10:01:50 PM »
Pulled out at 6pm and headed outwith some eels looking for some life on the depth finder.  Got to the 11a and man did it light up.  Lots of fish below, big ones!  Dropped the eel just as it was getting dark and almost immediately it goes off.  I pulled to set the hook and thought I broke off, only to realize that all I had left was a head.  Promptly had 6 eels get massacred on every drop, leaving just the head.  I moved over to the Keyport 1 can and it was more of the same.  Tried to let them run with it just for some action but they were just biting off the eels all the way up to the head, then nothing.  It was nice to see so much life on the screen, just not the right species.
