Decided to give the Manasquan Inlet a try today since the pier at Keansburg closed for the season yesterday. Got down there around noon to find quite a few people fishing on the concrete wall...My daughter and I found a spot and began our day...
There was quite a bit of boat traffic today...and 3 jet skiers who were annoying...go back and forth in the channel.
We tried some diamond jigs, spooners, and plastic eels...I hooked one...but he got off before I could get em in...
Clouds started to roll in and the wind made it a tad cold...cold is not good on my arthritis...ugh...
Needless to say...I got very few bites...
I can't help but think that the boat traffic in the area hinders fishing...I ran my lures high and low with no luck...so for my daughter and I...not that great of an experience...
Maybe with less boat and jet ski traffic the fish might be a little more receptive...today they probably scattered...
I hope everyone did better than we did...but as I have always said...it's just great to get out with my daughter...
Have a good work week everyone...
