Pilot - TOG opening day blast -11/16
« on: November 16, 2011, 10:45:09 PM »
Had designs on cracking some crabs and clams on the sticky stuff with Capt Don Sr, Don Jr, Dan (the dog catcher) and Tbone the master of ceremonies for the WAWA Pretzel.   Got on our piece early after a little difficulty getting the hook to bite but the 3rd time was the charm.  Asians, Greenies, Clams, Squidd rounded out the buffet table.   Donnie pokes the first CB and last for the day.  Just shy. Tbone bends the seeker and puts the first of tog into the dunk tank.   Dan played lock and load with the Doggies.  Last time out he pounded the CB's in the same fashion.  Just drop it, and rock it.  None stop, consistency like you've never seen.  If only they were all TOG smk  Literally stopped counting afer the 30th endangered dog.

We took turns all morning long dropping fish into the holding pen and tossed less than a dozen shorts back.  Fish were all quality 2-4 lbers with a handful of 5/6 thrown in.  Second WAWA award goes to the Dog Catcher dialing in a nice 8 lber.  Good job Dan!   Don Sr, Jr and I also made our contributions to the donation basket.   Everyone had a shot at busting T-Bones chops on his $10 Carhardt slickers as he schooled us on the numbers today. The boy was on fire. chrz  He bragged that he had a special technique but refused to disclose it with all the ribbing he took.  We're all thinking it's his long neck and the yoga classes he's been taking.   ;D  Just kidding T!

The bite just about petered out at noon and steady drizzle kicked in.   We gave it another couple hours after lunch with a stray bite here and there.  Packed it in and back to the dock just before 4:00.

Excellent day!  Great group of anglers.  Lot's of fillets for the grill TT^
